Vintage Noise Returns to The Club at Castlewood
On March 5, Vintage Noise returns to The Club at Castlewood for its annual Crab Feed — an evening rooted in tradition, generous hospitality, and the kind of gathering this historic property was built to hold.
Castlewood’s story runs deep. From the days of the Hacienda del Pozo de Verona — designed by Julia Morgan as Phoebe Hearst’s grand “house of hospitality” — to the lively Hearst Ranch years that filled the grounds with music, laughter, and live broadcasts, this has always been a place where people come together. Hosting large, joyful evenings isn’t incidental here. It’s part of the building’s DNA.
On March 5, Vintage Noise returns with a full quartet featuring Michael Carter on vocals and Franz J. Díaz on piano, joined by bass and drums. It’s a fitting continuation of a long-standing tradition — great company, great food, and live music filling Castlewood’s storied halls once again.
This special evening is part of Castlewood’s member programming and is open to members and their guests.

Valentine’s Day at The GrandView is officially sold out, and we couldn’t be more excited to share the night with a full room.
This annual celebration is built around fine dining, candlelight, and live music — and Vintage Noise is the soundtrack for the evening.
For Valentine’s Night on February 14, Michael is joined by Ed Johnson on guitar and Mike Hallesy on bass. Together, the trio creates an intimate, unhurried sound designed for conversation, connection, and the kind of atmosphere that makes people want to stay at the table just a little longer.
And if Valentine’s Day itself is sold out, the weekend isn’t over.
Encore Night with Vintage Noise on Saturday, February 15 continues the celebration with another live performance at The GrandView. Michael returns on vocals alongside Ed Johnson, joined this night by Franz J. Díaz on piano. If you missed the 14th, this is your second chance. If you loved it, here’s your encore.

In the Style of Sinatra — Live at Solis Winery
Spend a relaxed Sunday afternoon at Solis Winery with Vintage Noise, featuring Gilroy native Michael Carter — once affectionately hailed as “Gilroy’s Own Sinatra.”
Michael grew up right here in Gilroy, and this performance brings him back home with the music he’s known for: classic Sinatra-era songs, smooth jazz standards, and a touch of bossa nova. It’s easy listening, familiar tunes, and the kind of music that pairs perfectly with a glass of wine and good company.
Whether you’re a longtime Sinatra fan or simply looking for a laid-back afternoon out, this is a hometown performance worth catching.
Come early, settle in, and enjoy an afternoon of music that feels both classic and close to home.

Vintage Noise Debuts at Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards
We’re excited to share that Vintage Noise is making its debut performance at the beautiful Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards in Saratoga!
Join us for Jazz in the Vineyard on Sunday, January 18, from 2–4 pm, where smooth jazz and bossa nova set the tone for a relaxed afternoon among rolling vineyards. This special daytime performance features Michael Carter on vocals and Franz J. Díaz on piano, bringing a warm, elegant blend of jazz standards and Brazilian-inspired rhythms to one of the South Bay’s most scenic winery settings.
It’s the perfect way to unwind — sip estate wines, enjoy the open air, and let the music carry you through a laid-back Sunday afternoon. No cover charge, just great music and a beautiful place to linger.
We’re thrilled to be bringing Vintage Noise to this venue for the first time and hope you’ll join us for this special debut.
See you in the vineyard!

Ring in the New Year at The GrandView
New Year’s Eve at The GrandView is an annual tradition, and reservations fill quickly. This year’s celebration features dinner and live music by Vintage Noise, bringing timeless jazz and classic crooner style to one of San Jose’s most memorable evenings.
Join us on December 31, from 5:00–9:00 PM, for an elegant night of fine dining, warm atmosphere, and live music designed to carry you into the new year. Seating is limited, and this event has historically sold out.
Reservations are strongly encouraged and should be made as soon as possible.

Nat King Cole’s Christmas songs work best when they’re treated simply. Franz keeps the piano warm and supportive, Mike Hallesy on bass gives the music a steady, relaxed pulse, and the vocals by Michael Carter sit comfortably on top. Nothing is pushed. Nothing is dressed up more than it needs to be.
The result is a set that feels friendly and familiar — classic Christmas music played with care, not flash. It’s the kind of night that fits The GrandView perfectly: good food, good company, and songs that feel right for the season.
Tomorrow brings a small trio, familiar Christmas songs, and an atmosphere that invites you to relax and stay awhile.

This Friday is shaping up to be something special at The GrandView.
We’re bringing back A Crooner Christmas — a cozy night of Sinatra-style classics, holiday favorites, and that warm bossa nova glow Vintage Noise is known for. And since it also happens to be Michael’s birthday, the evening has a little extra sparkle. If you’ve been wanting a perfect night to come out, this is the one. Michael will be joined by two of our favorites: Ed Johnson on guitar — bringing that unmistakable Brazilian elegance, and Franz J. Díaz on piano — all warmth, color, and holiday charm.
